A grieving woman was "horrified" to find sentimental items had been cruelly snatched from their family grave.
The woman, who wished to not be named, said she regularly visits her family's garden-grave at Kirkdale Cemetery.
But after not being able to visit due to feeling unwell, she was "horrified" and "heartbroken" to find items had been taken - items that were extremely sentimental, just the week before Christmas.

The heartbroken woman said: "I was horrified to find that someone had taken all of the new black shiny stones and sentimental items that we had done in 2021.
"I was mortified, heartbroken, and I broke down crying, that someone could rob from someone else's family grave.
The Kirkdale Woman sadly lost her mum in 2019, a loss which is "still hard to accept".
Not only does she visit her mum at the family plot, but also her grandparents, her father, who died in 2005, and her brother - who sadly lost his life in 2018.

She added: "The items that were taken were very sentimental. There was a small open book for my dad, and a small cross from my mum to her son - my brother, before my mum passed away.
"It is still hard for me to accept that my mum isn't here anymore.

"I have always looked after the family's garden-grave. We had the headstone-pots cleaned and then the stones were added, which weren't cheap."
The woman is urging other families to remain vigilant as she does not want them to go through the heartbreak she has.
Liverpool Council has previously urged people to report any information they may have regarding thefts from graves to Merseyside Police.
