A grieving mother has pleaded others to avoid the waters where her son tragically lost his life trying to save a group of children.
Callum Baker-Osborne, 18, from Coventry, dived in to the Rockley River off the coast of Poole, Dorset, after seeing a group of youngsters - thought to be family members - struggling in open water at 4pm on July 26.
The 18-year-old went missing beneath the surface, prompting emergency service lifeboats and divers to set out on a four-day search operation to find him.
Callum's body was finally discovered at a harbour beach just one mile along the coast on July 30.
Today Callum's mum, Ann Marie Osborne, shared a post where she took it "upon myself to advertise the dangers of the water".
"When searching for my son we had the top divers from Cornwall and Devon who are the best at their job and they told us that the waters at Rockley are the most dangers waters they have worked in", she told Dorset Live.
"This water is deadly.
"The day my beautiful son was found, Rockley Park opened the beach up as normal allowing family's to be at risk.
"I beg all families to find a safer beach.
"If it's my last wish I will stop this from happening to another family."
Haven Holidays are the owners of the site next to where Callum jumped in.
Ann Marie has pleaded with them to address water safety awareness issues in the area.
Regarding Ann Marie's comments, a spokesperson for the company told Dorset Live: "This was a tragic event and the heartfelt condolences of everyone at the park remain with Callum's family and friends.
"Following the incident, a review was also initiated with input from all organisations who have involvement in water and land issues in the local area.
"This process is ongoing and is designed to ensure all parties – guests, beach users as well as local businesses and organisations – have the knowledge needed to help maintain water safety into the future.”
Since the 18-year-old's death, locals have shared their concerns about water safety around the tourist spot online.
A petition is calling for Haven, the RNLI and local councils to man the beach on weekends and during the summer holidays.
According to local residents, many people were unaware of the dangers of this stretch of water.
As visitors to the area are often from elsewhere in the UK, residents say, it is "absolutely vital that safety measures are put in place".
The Rockley River, where Callum dived in fluctuates in depth depending on tides, meaning vast amounts of water pour into it causing powerful currents, Dorset Live reports.

Many locals responded to Ann Marie's post, agreeing with her concerns about water safety at the spot.
One commented: "I am from the area and it is so dangerous there the water really is deadly if your holidaying there and don't know the area well please go to Sandbanks beach where it's much safer and has life guards."
Another added: "I'm from the Poole area I agree with you that more needs to be done to make people safe at Rookley point, too many families have lost loved ones due to water conditions. Callum will always be remembered as a hero."
