GRID takes esports betting to the next level with GRID Bet launch

Esports data and technology provider GRID has announced the launch of its new betting vertical, GRID Bet, marking a major step in its mission to transform the esports betting landscape.

The Germany-based company will maximize its exclusive partnerships with prominent rights holders, including Riot Games, ESL FACEIT Group, and BLAST, to deliver official live match data for some of the most popular esports titles for betting.

“The esports betting market has long been challenged by solutions that weren’t built for its unique demands, and the lack of official data, despite the digital nature of the sport, has stunted growth and innovation,” GRID CEO and co-founder Moritz Maurer said.

“With GRID Bet, we are doubling down on the unique assets—official, live match data coming from our long-term, exclusive partnerships with the leading esports rights holders,” he added.

The core vision of GRID Bet is to harness official live data from the biggest esports titles, including CS2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT, in order to deliver more reliable odds, faster bet settlements, and richer live betting experiences.

By integrating directly with leading rights holders, GRID aims to unlock the full potential of real match data, ensuring superior uptime, wider market coverage, and an overall enhanced experience for esports bettors and operators.

“Official data is the single proven foundation for a successful and engaging esports betting product. This expansion reflects GRID’s commitment to equipping operators with an end-to-end suite of tools to confidently launch, manage, and scale their esports offerings with unique products only official data can enable,” Maurer said.

GRID co-founder Tom Warburton has been appointed Chief Business Officer to spearhead the new vertical. Bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience in both B2B and B2C betting, including stints at GeniusSports and SkyBet, he will oversee GRID Bet’s strategy and growth.

“All of the most impressive sports betting products I’ve ever worked with had one element in common, they were powered by official data. Trading efficiency, accuracy of odds, live betting, and the breadth of the offering can only be unlocked with official data, especially in the digital world of esports, where the game server is the one source of truth,” Warburton said.

GRID’s existing technology already features live feeds, AI-powered insights, trader portals, widgets, and streaming tools, which serve as foundation for GRID Bet. The company confirmed that additional products under this vertical are expected to roll out in October 2025.
