GRID secures exclusive rights to distribute ESL FACEIT Group’s CS2 and Dota 2 esports data

GRID, one of the leading data and technology platforms in esports, has signed an exclusive multi-year partnership with ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) to distribute official live data for all EFG-operated esports titles.

“EFG has defined esports in CS2 and Dota 2 over the last two decades, and we are proud to enter into this ecosystem as an exclusive data partner,” Moritz Maurer, GRID CEO and founder, said. He added that together, GRID and EFG aim to establish a “standard” for data in esports and gaming.

Starting with IEM Cologne 2025, GRID will serve as the exclusive distributor and infrastructure partner for live in-game data from EFG’s tournaments, including the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), ESL Pro League, and ESL One. The agreement also covers the delivery of audio-video feeds and data-powered visualizations from the events, offering real-time insights for media, betting partners, and fans. Earlier, Bayes Esports held the right to distribute EFG’s data as an official partner.

“GRID’s technology, track record, and experience pioneering this category made them a clear choice as our data partner,” Georg Brandes, senior director of media rights and distribution at EFG, said. He also added that for EFG, the deal represents a move toward enhancing viewer experience and “creating innovative revenue opportunities” through data innovation, which should make esports more sustainable in the coming days.

Through GRID’s platform, stakeholders will have access to enhanced stats, live tracking, and infrastructure that supports everything from broadcast overlays to regulated betting integrations for games like CS2 and Dota 2.

The collaboration also builds on GRID’s existing partnerships with major publishers like Riot Games, Ubisoft, KRAFTON, and BLAST. As esports viewership continues to grow and the betting market grows in size, this partnership positions GRID and EFG to lead the industry in delivering trusted, high-performance data infrastructure at scale.
