Curator Mark Feary brings together the work of 22 artists, who have focused on the spectrum between black and white. In their work, they examine the representation of binaries: light and dark, political opposition, and the ethics and morality in the ambiguities of the grey area.
The exhibition brings together sculpture, screen printing and digital video works from established artists like Charles Blackman, Mike Parr and John Nixon, and emerging artists Kate Mitchell, Caroline Rothwell and Heidi Yardley. As typical of Artbank’s exhibitions, all works can be loaned at the end of the exhibition.
