Grey hair, botched nails and DIY cuts: Kylie Jenner leads celebs missing glam squads in isolation

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to keep us indoors, some famous faces have been facing up to the unexpected downsides of self-isolation.

Without access to a dedicated team of hair and make-up experts, celebs have been forced to go au natural during the health crisis... for better or worse.

Kylie Jenner was one of the first to unleash her true self as she took to Instagram to speak to fans and gave an eye-opening glimpse of what her real hair looks like.

The typically glamorous lip kit mogul looked virtually unrecognisable as she appeared without hair extensions or a colourful weave.

The 22-year-old's natural hair only reaches below her chin and is stuck a mousey shade of brown with her raven roots peeking through.

Since offering a brief peek at the real her, Kylie has only posted throwback pictures to a time she could have her stylists coming within a 2metre radius as self-distancing continues.

Another person struggling with personal upkeep lately is UK reality star Chloe Ferry.

The Geordie Shore starlet - who hails Kylie Jenner as a style inspiration - revealed her botched manicure on social media.

"Guys I'm literally desperate for my nails done. Oh no! What is going on," Chloe cried as she flashed a hand to camera and revealed only two of her huge talons were still in tact.

While Chloe lamented her mishapen claws would have to stay that way, another famous face opted to take style matters into their own hands.

Pop star Pink resorted to giving herself a DIY haircut.

Unfortunately, the Get This Party Started singer made the decision to get scissor happy while drunk.

"Hey, everybody," she told fans in a candid video. "I wanted to share something that I did last night. When I drink, I get really, really brilliant ideas, and last night I got an idea: I can cut hair! I can totally cut hair. Why have I been paying people this whole time? Look what I did."

Pink then slipped off her hat to reveal her uneven shaven locks.

"What do you think?" she asks? "Is it a good look?" she asked.

Kate Garraway was another celeb forced to transform her own locks.

This week the presenter shared a snap of her battling to curl her blonde bob minutes before going live to the nation on Good Morning Britain.

Kate seemed relatively upbeat about the lack of style team at the ITV studios but her co-host Piers Morgan appeared slightly more annoyed by the situation.

The outspoken star shared a snap in front of his vanity mirror as he attempted to do his own make-up.

"Doing my own GMB make-up for the first time - this struggle just got real," he quipped.

Even the A-list have been impacted by life in the time of coronavirus.

Kevin Hart admitted that now he wasn't working he was embracing his natural grey locks.

The 40-year-old Jumanji actor revealed that while he was taking a break from acting he was letting his salt and pepper look shine through.

"I’m rolling – grey hair in the beard, grey hair up top, on the side…" he told fans as she panned the camera around his head.

"Well, f--- it then! F--- it then,’ the would-be Oscars host exclaims.

"Embrace it. Don’t run from it, embrace it!" Kevin advised - looks like we'll have to.
