Gretna Gala Day has been hailed a huge success after hundreds of residents turned out to celebrate the occasion.
Gala committee member Gillian Lee said: “It was a really good day and a good turn out as well.
“There were six floats with lots of people. There was one float with 40 on it and ours had 12.
“We were G-Fest and everyone enjoyed themselves.
“It was a lot of work from a lot of people and although it was quieter at night, I think that was due to a lot of people who had organised barbecues for later or having their own garden parties throughout the day.
