Gretel Killeen is officially returning to hosting duties years after her Big Brother departure, following news she is locked in as the host role of the upcoming third season of The Traitors Australia.
Killeen is best known as the presenter of the Australian version Big Brother during its heyday some 17 years ago, but she reappeared on screens this year as a castmate on the current season of The Amazing Australia.
Riding on this (deserved) wave of renewed screen time, Killeen will now replace Rodger Corser as the host of The Traitors, which is currently filming its third instalment in a countryside manor in the all-new location of New Zealand.

“As a writer and performer, I love a new experience and hosting the new Traitors gives me permission to explore an alternate version of myself in an imaginary place, full of challenging mischief,” Killeen said in a statement, per The Daily Telegraph.
The twisty, Mafia-style reality show places a group of strangers in a mansion and tasks them with befriending ‘Faithfuls’ and weeding out ‘Traitors’ while building up a prize pot of up to $250,000.
The first season of The Traitors — an offshoot of the Emmy-winning US version hosted by Alan Cumming — hit Aussie screens in 2022, with an additional instalment arriving the following year.
Former castmates on the show have included celebs like Survivor’s Luke Toki and Below Deck’s Hannah Ferrier, but the rumour mill is positively aflutter as to who will be entering the countryside manor for season three.

While no castmates have been confirmed, there were whispers that Real Housewives of Sydney star Krissy Marsh was in talks to appear, as well as The Bachelor’s Kiera Maguire and an assortment of Married at First Sight and Survivor alums.
A sneaky insider also spilled some salary tea to PEDESTRIAN.TV this week, claiming castmates were paid $1,000 for their appearance on the third season. But the rumour mill doesn’t stop there.
The Daily Telegraph reports that with Killeen’s profile boosted by herTraitors hosting role, Channel 10 would be wise to bring her back in some capacity to the upcoming season of Big Brother Australia, which is set to premiere in November.
Again, this is all speculation at this stage, but since Killeen played a key role in Big Brother’s golden years, it’d be a real treat to see her return to that universe in some way, perhaps as the famous voice of Big Brother himself? (Big Sister, anyone?).
No official release date for The Traitors season three has been revealed, but you can rest assured there’ll be plenty of rumours flying until it inevitably hits screens.
