Greta Thunberg changes Twitter name to 'Sharon' after Celebrity Mastermind blunder

Greta Thunberg has proven she can take a joke well by changing her Twitter name to 'Sharon'.

The 17-year-old Swedish climate activist became the centre of an internet storm on Friday because of a hilarious answer on Celebrity Mastermind.

Casualty star Amanda Henderson, who plays Robyn Miller on the BBC medical drama, had a bizarre response to presenter John Humphries' question.

He asked: “The 2019 book entitled No-one is Too Small To Make A Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name?”

Amanda was visibly struggling and eventually blurted out 'Sharon' - when the answer was obviously Greta Thunberg.

The Celebrity Mastermind clip went viral and the name 'Sharon' was trending on Twitter.

And it seems the news reached Sweden as Greta responded by changing her name.

She didn't reference the funny move, but did thank her followers for wishing her a happy birthday.

Celebrity Mastermind viewers took to Twitter after watching the hilarious moment.

One viewer said: "Sharon has to be best quiz answer in 2020. Great start to the decade."

“Our climate change global superstar will always be Sharon Thunberg to me from now on,” joked another.
