Greitens arrives at courthouse for jury selection in invasion of privacy case

ST. LOUIS _ Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens arrived Thursday at the St. Louis courthouse for jury selection ahead of his criminal trial.

The Republican governor will stand trial next week on a felony charge of invasion of privacy based on allegations that he took a photograph of a woman while she was bound and partly nude without her consent in an effort to keep her from speaking about an extramarital affair.

Attorneys will choose from a pool of 160 potential jurors after determining whether they can be impartial about the case, which has dominated Missouri headlines for months.

Jury selection was originally slated to take place Thursday and Friday, but it could stretch into Monday, the day the trial was scheduled to begin.

If the jury finds Greitens guilty, he could face up to four years in prison.
