Gregory Porter announces major UK tour: How to get tickets for 2020 Royal Albert Hall shows

Jazz favourite Gregory Porter has announced plans for a major UK tour, with a full 13 dates planned for next year.

The Liquid Spirit singer will perform a series of arena shows in May, as well as four nights at the Royal Albert Hall, somewhere he has regularly played over the years.

Tickets for the shows go on sale at 9am this Friday, September 6. They can be bought here.

It’s been more than a year since Porter last performed live in the UK, with his final series of three April concerts recorded for live album, One Night Only: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, released just before Christmas.

The full list of dates is below.

  • May 9 – Manchester Arena
  • May 10 – Cardiff Motorpoint Arena
  • May 11 – Leeds First Direct Arena
  • May 13 – Glasgow SEC Hydro
  • May 14 – Newcastle Utilita Arena
  • May 16 – Birmingham Resorts World Arena
  • May 17 – Hull Bonus Arena
  • May 19, 20, 22 & 23 – London Royal Albert Hall
  • May 25 – Bournemouth International Centre
  • May 26 – Brighton Centre

Porter has recorded five studio albums to date, with the most recent – the collection Nat King Cole & Me – coming in 2017.

The singer also recently launched his own interview podcast series The Hang, which he spoke to the Standard about last month, as well as racism and the power of protest in jazz music.
