Greggs to open first Scottish drive-thru in Glasgow after plans given green light

Greggs have been given the green light to open their first drive-thru in Glasgow.

Glasgow City Council have granted planning permission for the new restaurant, which will be located next to Pizza Hut and Burger King at Great Western Retail Park in Drumchapel.

Plans for the drive-thru, the first in Scotland, were originally submitted to Glasgow City Council back in April this year.

The 1800-square-foot restaurant will be open seven days a week from 5am to midnight, with outside seating and a car park with space for 72 vehicles.

The move comes three years after the bakery giant first opened a drive-thru in Manchester in 2017 off the back of a successful trial.

We are sure this will prove instantly popular when it opens!
