Free Greggs sausage rolls in Newcastle today from a customised bike and sidecar

Free Greggs sausage rolls will be dished out from a pastry-themed motorbike sidecar in Newcastle on Saturday - and you can have your photo taken in it.

The Geordie bakery chain is giving away meat and vegan versions of its most famous product,  to mark the start of a new delivery partnership with Just Eat, which allows customers to order from 8am in Newcastle .

As a 'celebration', Greggs has got hold of a customised motorbike, with a six foot pasty-shaped sidecar.

The custom bike is visiting London, Newcastle and Glasgow to give away free sausage rolls and vegan sausage rolls. It was launched by former EastEnders actor and I'm a Celebrity winner Joe Swash in London.

Greggs say the vehicle is a tribute to founder John Gregg, who used to deliver baked good from a bicycle in Newcastle.

The sausage roll side car stops in Northumberland Street , Newcastle on Saturday, July 6, between 11am and 2pm.

It will be stocked with sausage rolls, which will be given away for free on the day, subject to availability.
