Greggs student deal: Bakery giving out free sweet treats and savoury items

Greggs has announced it is giving out free food to students.

The new deal means students can pick either a sweet treat or savoury item for free to mark the start of term.

To get the Greggs student deal, all you have to do is purchase any sandwich and show your student ID or valid student card to the cashier.

Students can enjoy a Sausage Roll, a Vegan Sausage Roll or a Cheese & Onion Bake free of charge.

Or for a sweeter treat, Greggs fans can choose from a selection of their best-sellers, including Jam Doughnuts, Cookies, Yum Yums and Gluten-Free Brownies.

Gregg, who has 133 bakeries across Wales, has said offers are valid in select stores only and are subject to availability.

The sandwich deal includes any selected sandwich and any cold drink or regular hot drink, currently this is limited to cold baguettes and Oval Bites.

It comes after Greggs announced it would be giving food to people in the UK who had a lockdown birthday.

For those who celebrated in March or April and were not allowed to see loved ones due to the government rules at the time, the bakery wants to give you a pick me up.

Greggs has announced it is giving away free sweet treats worth £1 to people who were potentially cake-less for their big day.

To claim your freebie all you have to do is download the Greggs Rewards app.

There are doughnuts, cookies or a yum yum up for grabs.
