Everyone knows that Scots and the rest of the UK love a good pie and a Greggs pastry, and now fans can rejoice as the bakery's steak pies and creamy chicken pies have landed in Iceland.
The new product comes as the two companies celebrate a ten year partnership which has seen the bakery fans able to get their favourite pastry delights in-store to tuck into when they get home.
Iceland has previously stocked some of everyone's favourite Greggs orders, including sausage rolls and vegan sausage rolls, all the way to the classic steak bake.
Now the frozen food supermarket will be launching the steak pies and creamy chicken pies before they land anywhere else - even before they are for sale in Greggs.
To celebrate the new product launch, Iceland put it to the nation to find out just how Brits like to have their pie and eat it, with a tough call to make between steak or chicken. Steak pies came out on top (55%) over chicken (40%) with us Scot's making up for 65% of the vote.
The nation's favourite, the Greggs Steak Pie (2pk, £3.00) , comes with golden layers of crisp puff pastry and a delicious steak filling, this pie is an ideal treat to share amongst family and friends.
Also, not to be beaten, the Greggs Creamy Chicken Pie (2pk, £3.00) , comes with layers of creamy chicken are contained inside delicious flaky pastry and will leave shoppers wanting more.
According to Iceland's research at least 43% of the nation eat a pie at least once a week, with 11% of people saying they eat a pie 2-3 days each week.
While the new Iceland pies, or any pie for that matter, can be served on it's own because of how tasty it is, Iceland have also discovered that some people like to experiment with a splash of flavour.
Research shows that most pie lovers are diverse with their toppings, as the favourite condiments range from red sauce to...salad cream? (we're not judging, honest!)
Though, it turns out the Scottish prefer to take their pies on their own, which is perfect as the new steak and creamy chicken pies look good enough to eat without any sauce or gravy.
From a week day meal or weekend treat, to enjoying it at home alone or with friends, it seems that a good pie can make everything right for a lot of us Brit's and Iceland know it.
The new Greggs Steak Pies and Creamy Chicken Pies will be available in Iceland stores across the UK, The Food Warehouse Stores and online as of tomorrow, October 13.
