Greggs recalls frozen steak bakes over fears they may contain small pieces of plastic

Bakery giant Greggs has issued a product recall for their two packs of frozen steak bakes as they may contain small pieces of plastic in them.

The products in question are exclusively sold in Iceland Stores and the recall does not affect steak bakes or any other freshly baked savoury products sold in Greggs or other Greggs products sold at Iceland in and around Glasgow.

The Food Standards Agency have confirmed that no other products, date codes or batches are affected.

The pack sizes that are unsafe to eat are 280g and have the best before dates of December 20, 2020, December 22, 2020 and December 23, 2020.

People who have purchased the item can return them to Iceland for a full refund.

Meanwhile, point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all Iceland stores that are selling the steak bakes.
