It's finally happened....after seeing them pop up in other places in the UK, a drive-thru Greggs has opened in Newcastle.
The is located off the A1056 Sandy Lane, North Gosforth – just down the road from where Greggs opened its first shop.
The new opening has creates 20 new jobs in the area and for those customers who wish to enjoy their purchases inside there is seating available for 40 people as well as 40 seats outside.
The drive-thru officially opens on Thursday, July 11 and there has been great excitement about it from people all over Newcastle and beyond.
Greggs say their intention is for Drive Thru customers to be served straight away, offering them the ultimate convenience, but during busy periods and on rare occasions there may be a slight wait for certain items.

6am – 9pm Monday – Saturday
7am – 7pm on Sundays.
*Breakfast will be served until 11am
