Greggs issues urgent recall of frozen steak bakes sold in Iceland stores

Greggs is recalling packs of frozen steak bakes because they may contain small pieces of plastic.

The presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.

This product is only sold in Iceland Stores and does not affect the products sold in Greggs, the bakery added.

No other Greggs products are known to be affected.

The affected packs have best before dates of 20 December 2020, 22 December 2020 and 23 December 2020.

Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all Iceland stores that stock this product.

The notices explain to customers why they're being recalled as well as what to do if you think you've bought some of them.

The Food Standards Agency said: "If you have bought the above Greggs product from Iceland, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the Iceland store from where it was bought for a full refund."

If you have any queries, Greggs said to contact its customer care team on 08081 473 447 or email getintouch@greggs.co.uk
