Greggs fans are 'buzzing' at news that the bakery is now signed up to Just Eat

News that Greggs breakfasts, pasties and cakes are now available on Just Eat was always going to have fans of the North East chain in a flurry of excitement.

And knowing the delivery option came without a minimum spend or even a delivery fee - for a limited period at least - was even more of a treat.

Greggs  branches in Newcastle city centre , Gosforth and Byker are among those to sign up to the Just Eat service with deliveries available from 8am.

Why do Greggs serve their sausage rolls cold?

And others well beyond the region are also in on the act and the move has met with a wide - and very excited response - on social media.

Greggs fans took to Twitter with comments ranging from "buzzing" to "this has just made me day".

Others went further saying the news was a "blessing" and "I have never been so exited" while one claimed: "My life has changed for ever."

The delivery service announcement comes as the Greggs prepares to open its - at a new site at Tyneside Autoparc in North Gosforth - in mid-July.
