Yesterday saw Greggs fans flock to bakeries up and down the country, as the high-street chain reopened its doors to customers.
Many were over the moon to get their first taste of sausage rolls and steak bakes for the first time in months, but not everyone is so pleased.
The high-street bakery chain is currently operating a limited menu to ensure staff can work safely, meaning some items are currently unavailable.
Unsurprisingly, some people aren't happy with what they've been given during this global pandemic, and have been complaining on social media.
One customer fumed: "I understand this is a difficult time for all, but I've waited 3 long months for a corned beef pasty & a pack of 3 egg custards, to hear that they are not going to be on the menu!"
Another chipped in with: "Absolutely heartbroken. Corned beef pasties are the only thing that can save me."
A third wrote: "Um, please tell me why the hell your opening if your signature pasty isn't even on the menu!? Not on @GreggsOfficial, not on. What is greggs without a corned beef pasty!? And don't even get me started on the flake cake."
Another wrote: "Can I just ask are u taking away corned beef pasties cos why aren’t they on your menu I’m gunna have a nervous disposition do you understand what they mean to me."
A fifth fumed: "I’ve gone on my phone this morning in a wonderful mood only to then click on your menu to find out that the corned beef pasty is nowhere to be seen? Is there any reason for this? Im quite frankly upset and disappointed. #bringbackcornedbeef."
Birmingham Live reports that another person said: "I’ve slept on it & I have to admit that @GreggsOfficial not having iced doughnuts on the reduced menu is heartbreaking."
Greggs has now responded, writing to its critics: "We're sorry, at the moment our Corned Beef Bakes aren't part of our limited menu."
I'm sure we can all agree that Greggs' staff are working tirelessly to provide the nation with pastry to lift our spirits at the minute, so let's cut them some slack, people!
