Greggs branches unable to open and selling limited stock due to Storm Dennis aftermath

A Greggs factory in Treforest is clearing up after Storm Dennis, meaning that customers are having to go without some of their favourite baked goods.

The factory on Treforest Industrial Estate near the Upper Boat Roundabout - which was closed for more than 24 hours after flooding in the early hours of Sunday, February 16 - has been on the site for more than 20 years and makes bread, Welshcakes and some of the regional cakes that go to other parts of the UK.

Now shops across Cardiff have posters displaying the message: 'We're sorry but due to the floods your favourite (sic) might not be available today.'

Some fans hoping for a sausage bap have had to go without as the bread delivery wasn't able to be fulfilled.

And in Abertillery the local Greggs said it will shut for two weeks due to the limited stock available.

Take a look at how people in Pontypridd have been affected by Storm Dennis

A spokeswoman for Greggs confirmed that the Treforest distribution factory was affected by the floods and that staff are now back at the site helping with the clear up.

She added: "They are working hard to get things back up and running."
