Greggs has been "begged" to open a store in a Merseyside town.
The fast food chain has a strong offering in Liverpool City Centre, but one town on the outskirts of Merseyside is currently without a Greggs.
Southport has Pound Bakeries and a Waterfields, but one person took to Twitter to "beg" the multi-million pound company to open a store in the town.

People in Southport have to travel to Formby for their nearest Greggs.
Greggs is not the first fast food chain to be begged to come to the town, with people from Southport still waiting to see a Burger King restaurant open.
While there are a couple of Subway, KFC and McDonald's restaurants, the lack of a Burger King is quite the local mystery, and topic of many a conversation.
Sandgrounders craving a Whopper have to travel some 18 miles to get their hands on one, with the nearest sites being in Bootle and Bamber Bridge.
Since McDonald's on Eastbank Street closed its doors in 2014, a lot of people have said a Burger King should take its place.
There have never been any plans submitted to turn this building into a Burger King, now people have turned their focus to Greggs.
