Greggs back on Just Eat for delivery as bakery chain prepares for reopening of branches

Just Eat has announced Greggs is back on its list of venues now offering delivery.

The website has a postcode finder allowing fans of the bakery to check if Greggs is open near them and order from the menu.

The site says: "Greggs is back on Just Eat. Are you one of the lucky locations open just for delivery?

"Enter your postcode above to see, and if not we’ll show you some great alternatives instead.

"Don’t forget to keep checking back here to see if your local store is back online."

You can view the postcode finder here.

Those who do use the new system can also get their first £15 order free thanks to deals website Topcashback.

The site says it will give new customers who sign up £15 in cashback for their first Just Eat order over £15, meaning free Greggs items if you order over the minimum spend. You can sign up to the deal here.

The deal will be valid for any Greggs store on Just Eat as they open in the UK. The bakery is planning to reopen hundreds of branches later this month with a reduced range.

Some 800 shops will open on June 18, with Greggs aiming to reopen all branches by July 1.

In a statement, Roger Whiteside, the chief executive of Greggs said: "We’re currently in the process of selecting around 800 shops to reopen, this will initially include approximately 150 franchise shops.

"All shops will open with our new tested operational measures in place. And although they will open with a reduced range, this will be a significant step in us helping the nation get back up and running and serving the communities that we operate in.

"We’ll continue to look for the best ways to serve customers whilst keeping everyone safe, and as long as we can continue to do this, the final phase in our plan is to open all shops with our new operational measures in place by July 1.

"A huge thanks to our colleagues and customers for their cooperation and understanding throughout this process. Keep safe, and all the best."
