Greggs announces first ever VIP card that holds 'pastry privileges' for die-hard fans

Greggs is a firm favourite across the nation.

As far as we're concerned, there are no amount of steak bakes, vegan sausage rolls or sweet offerings we won't take on.

And with 133 bakeries across Wales, there's literally no stopping us.

Now the high-street store has announced a "next level VIP service" for die-hard pastry fans.

Called the Concierge card, Greggs' new "special service" sounds much like the infamous Nando's Black Card (you know, the one nobody is meant to know about).

The news was shared by Brit Award winner Stormzy, who picked up the British Male Solo Artist gong at the 2020 ceremony.

Broadcasting the Greggs revelation to his 1.4 million followers on Twitter, he said: "Are you mad the first Greggs black card @GreggsOfficial. I have peaked this is brilliant."

He then shared a video with a delivery from the bakery which states the card offers "special pastry privileges" as well as the option to order "whatever her wants, whenever he wants".

And while the multi-award winning singer is well-known for visiting the high-street bakery, the Bean and Cheese Melt being among his favourites, that doesn't mean the rest of us can get one.

Greggs are remaining tight lipped on details about the card but have confirmed it's strictly by invite only.

Which means no amount of steak bakes, vegan sausage rolls and sweet offerings will buy you membership to the private club.

A Greggs spokesperson said: "Our Concierge card is strictly by invite only to some of our biggest fans. That’s all we can say."

It's not all bad though, at least the rest of us still have the Gregg's loyalty scheme - right?
