It started with the vegan sausage roll, then the vegan Steak Bake. Now Greggs has added another classic to its vegan offering - an alternative to the classic Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt.
The Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt will hit shelves in more than 2,000 shops nationwide on Thursday, August 5 and it's hoped to be as popular as the vegan sausage roll, which was almost impossible to get in Cardiff when it launched in 2019.

It is designed to mirror some of the iconic features of the Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt and the vegan-friendly version is also wrapped in layers of golden puff pastry.
But instead of the classic filling, it’s loaded with pieces of vegan sausage, grated original and mozzarella flavour vegan cheese, and baked beans.
The high street bakery retailer has seen queues and sell-outs since launching its first vegan product back in 2019, the sausage roll.
Hannah Squirrell, customer director at Greggs, said: “The latest addition to our menu gives customers another vegan friendly alternative to one of our most iconic menu items. As we expand our vegan options with the launch of our new Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt, we mark another milestone as we continue with our journey to become our customers’ favourite destination for food-on-the-go.”
The new Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt will cost from £1.60 and will be available in all Greggs shops across the UK. Subject to availability.
