Gregg Wallace proudly shows off baby Sid after £2,000 booze-up to welcome new son

Gregg Wallace has proudly shown off his brand new baby son after wife Anna Wallace gave birth earlier this month.

The 54-year-old MasterChef host became a dad again for the third time after he and Anna tried for years to conceive.

So they were thrilled when she fell pregnant last summer naturally, just a few weeks before they'd planned to start looking at fertility treatment.

Now the beaming new father and Anna - who met on Twitter before Gregg made her his fourth wife - have brought baby Sid home from the hospital, and Gregg can't stop staring at his new arrival.

Sharing a picture of the little boy asleep on Instagram , Gregg played a clip from the Frankie Valli song Can't Take My Eyes Off You and captioned the sweet snap: "Here he is, my baby boy Sid."

The newborn was peacefully napping with his arms splayed above his head while wearing a snazzy black and white striped babygro.

He's already got a shock of dark brown hair, just like his mum.

Speaking of the moment he watched Anna give birth, Gregg said this week: "I went down the business end and watched the doctors pull Sid out.

"I saw him take his first breath, it was just beautiful. I looked at him and thought he was perfect."

He told OK! magazine: "I was far more scared this time than when I had Tom and Libby [his children from his second marriage].

"I don't know if it's because it took us so long to conceive or perhaps it's because I’m older, but I was scared for their health. I could have hugged the doctors."

Gregg celebrated by wetting the baby's head with a boozy party the day after Anna gave birth - racking up a £2,000 bill with John Torade and his close friends.

"We started at midday and finished at 10pm! The bill was well over £2k!" he admitted. "If [Anna] hadn't been happy about it, I wouldn't have gone."

Little Sid is unlikely to get a baby brother or sister, however, as Anna has decided they should stop with just the one, thanks to their 22-year age gap.

"Usually when you have a child, by the time they're 20 the parents get their life back a bit, but I'll be in my 70s," Gregg pointed out.

"So, we agreed; one child and she'd have some help here at home – so her mum and dad have moved down from Coventry and they share this house."
