Greg Taylor set for Celtic debut as Neil Lennon reveals Boli Bolingoli a doubt for Kilmarnock clash

Neil Lennon has revealed Greg Taylor is set for his debut – three weeks after signing for Celtic.

Boli Bolingoli suffered a groin stain in the Europa League draw with Rennes on Thursday night – a result that keeps the Scottish champions bang in Group E contention.

The £3million signing from Rapid Vienna had to be replaced by Jonny Hayes in the second half.

It’s an injury that has all but ruled out Bolingoli for Sunday’s game with Kilmarnock – and perhaps even the Betfred Cup clash with Partick Thistle in midweek.

And this has opened the door for Taylor to feature against his former club in the 1pm kick-off at Celtic Park.

Celtic boss Lennon said: "It’s not too serious. But Boli will be a major doubt for the weekend and maybe Partick Thistle.

"He has a slight groin strain. Hopefully he’ll only miss one or two games.

"Greg is in contention. He’ll be ready to play when called upon.”

Leigh Griffiths missed the game in Brittany but Lennon is hopeful he’ll be back for the weekend.

The manager said: "He missed the match due to a dead leg. We are hoping he’ll be OK for the weekend.

"It’s nothing too serious.”
