Greg Taylor's Celtic injury timeframe revealed as defender could face up to two months out

Celtic star Greg Taylor could be facing two months on the sidelines.

The Scotland star confirmed he had shoulder surgery on Monday night.

Celtic and Taylor haven’t been given an exact timeframe but fears are it will be a couple of months after a recurrence of the problem he first suffered against AZ Alkmaar.

He expects to get a better idea over the next 24 hours.

Taylor took to Instagram on Monday night to write: "Successful surgery. Road to recovery starts now."

The left-back had to be taken off again in the recent clash with Ross County and his absence has caused boss Ange Postecoglou an issue.

He has played Croatian Josip Juranovic on the opposite side and also brought frozen out Boli Bolingoli for the weekend defeat to Livingston.

He will need to decide who he plays in the Premier Sports Cup clash with Raith Rovers with teenager Adam Montgomery and .new signing Liam Scales presenting two other options.

Taylor will also miss the upcoming Scotland World Cup qualifiers against Israel and Faroes.
