Greg Taylor Celtic injury scare as Ange Postecoglou facing left back crisis for Europa League opener

Crocked Greg Taylor looks to have suffered a shoulder injury for Celtic ahead of their Europa League group stage opener.

The left-back was replaced against Ross County in the second half by Adam Montgomery after a tussle with Harry Paton.

The defender picked up the original knock in the European playoff clash with AZ Alkmaar.

The injury kept him out of the derby day defeat to Rangers, and led to Taylor dropping out of Steve Clarke's Scotland squad for the World Cup qualifiers.

It gives Ange Postecoglou plenty to think about ahead of the visit to Seville to face Real Betis.

At Ibrox, Croatian right-back Josip Juranović swapped sides to cover for the absence of the 23-year-old.

The Australian could also turn to 19-year-old Montgomery or new recruit Liam Scales for the showdown with the La Liga side.
