Greg Stroman ranked surprisingly well among rookie CBs at PFF

Greg Stroman got thrown into the fire and responded well for the Washington Redskins.

Stroman, the 241st pick in the draft, saw a bigger-than-expected workload when other Redskins defensive backs went down with injury.

On this sample size, Stroman came out looking great among rookies, per Pro Football Focus:

Viewed as a longshot and better known for his special teams play in college, at least in terms of pro projections, Stroman was a pleasant surprise for a Redskins team needing a few of those these days.

If Stroman can roll this into a strong sophomore season, it makes life easier on a Redskins team that will have to start thinking about the cornerback position again with Josh Norman getting up there in age.
