Greg Stewart posted a heartfelt Rangers farewell on social media after leaving his boyhood heroes.
The 31-year-old spent two years at Ibrox after joining on a free after his contract at Birmingham City expired.
Stewart was used mainly as a back-up but proved a useful squad player for Steven Gerrard, netting three goals which came in 5-0 wins over Aberdeen and Hearts in his first season.
The former Dundee, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock man grew up a Rangers fan in Fallin and has taken to Instagram to pay tribute to those who helped him fulfil his dream.
Stewart wrote: “2 years I will cherish (for) a lifetime! Ups and downs on that way… we had 1 ultimate goal we had to complete!
"From my family and friends who supported me every step of the way… the manager, coaching staff, my teammates, staff behind the scenes and the fans who follow near and far… thank you everyone @rangersfc for the last two seasons.”
Across his two campaigns at Rangers, Stewart appeared in a total of 33 matches in all competitions.
Following his departure, sporting director Ross Wilson said: “As a Rangers fan I know how much it meant to Greg to help the club clinch the league championship and I am delighted he moves on to his next challenge as a league champion.”
