Greg Olsen to work as analyst for Cardinals vs. Giants game on Fox during Panthers’ bye week

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is getting ready for another season, which will be his 13th in the NFL. It’s already clear what his next stop is, though.

According to Pro Football Talk, Olsen will be in the broadcast booth again during his bye week this season. Olsen is resuming his role as an on-air analyst for Fox Sports and will help Kenny Albert call the game between the Arizona Cardinals and the New York Giants in Week 7. Olsen has earned pretty much universal praise for his work as an analyst, so it’s something to look forward to.

It should make for an interesting matchup, and not just because of Olsen’s commentary. Arizona used its No. 1 overall draft pick on former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, who will be running a new Air Raid offense under first-year coach Kliff Kingsbury. The Cardinals were the worst team in the league last year (3-13), so they have nowhere to go but up.

The Giants picked their own rookie quarterback in the first round, selecting Daniel Jones at No. 6 and getting widely ridiculed for it. For now, Eli Manning still appears to be their starter, though.

New York’s offense will mostly run through Saquon Barkley, who already looks like the best rushing weapon in the NFL. However, things may be harder for him this year after the Giants traded Odell Beckham Jr. to the Browns in the offseason. They have also suffered a few injuries at wide receiver in training camp and were desperate enough to invite Kelvin Benjamin to a free agent workout this past weekend.
