Browns fans looking to order the jersey of first-round pick Greg Newsome can now click with some confidence. Newsome announced on his social media account that he will rock No. 20 in Cleveland.
Newsome wore No. 2 while playing cornerback at Northwestern. While he could technically wear the same number now that the NFL has loosened up the restrictions on which jerseys players at different positions can wear, the rookie CB has chosen No. 20 instead. Kicker Cody Parkey currently sports the No. 2, while the 20 jersey was open.
Cornerback and special teams ace Tavierre Thomas wore No. 20 for the last two seasons, with Briean Boddy-Calhoun sporting it before him.
