Greg Kiltie agrees St Mirren transfer after leaving Kilmarnock as midfielder inks two-year deal

St Mirren are set to sign Greg Kiltie as they step up their preparations for next season.

The Paisley club narrowly missed out on the top six in 2020-21 and are looking to crack the top half.

They've already landed imposing striker Curtis Main on a free transfer from Shrewsbury, as well as securing a deal for Charles Dunne of Motherwell.

And Record Sport understands that Kiltie will become St Mirren 's third signing of the summer.

The 24-year-old has agreed a two year deal with the Buddies after leaving Kilmarnock following their relegation.

Kiltie came through the ranks with Killie but knocked back a new deal after the play-off loss to Dundee that consigned them to the Championship.

The midfielder was also attracting interest from Bolton and Premiership rivals St Johnstone but has decided to move to Paisley.

Kiltie made his debut for Killie in 2013 and went on to make 134 appearances, scoring 20 times.

Regarded as a promising prospect when he broke through, the attacking midfielder's career stalled with injuries and he spent time out on loan at Morton and Dunfermline.

Still just 24 he made 32 appearances for Killie last season, but his eight goals were not enough to help his team avoid relegation.
