Greg Docherty on verge of Rangers exit and two others could follow should acceptable bids land

Greg Docherty is set to complete his move to Hull City on Thursday after undergoing a medical.

The 23-year-old midfielder will depart Rangers in a £400,000 deal after two and a half years with the club.

According to the PA news agency, Docherty spent Wednesday at the Harley Street Hospital in London undergoing medical tests ahead of the switch.

He'll sign a three year deal with the League One side, with an option of a fourth, after being told he no longer has a future at Ibrox.

He spent part of last season on loan at Hibs having previously also been on loan in England's third tier with Shrewsbury.

Hull boss Grant McCann made Docherty a priority after being given a glowing reference on the player by former Northern Ireland teammate Steven Davis.

Ross McCrorie also left Rangers this week to sign for Premiership club Aberdeen.

And Steven Gerrard is willing to let Jordan Jones and Jamie Murphy depart too should acceptable bids land.

Rangers return to action against Kilmarnock at Ibrox this weekend, with Gerrard's men looking to get back to winning ways after the frustrating draw against Livingston on Sunday.
