Greg Docherty nears Hibs switch as Rangers midfielder chased by English trio

In-demand Greg Docherty is edging nearer a loan move to Hibs as a host of English clubs make late bids to take him south.

The 23-year-old is wanted by Easter Road boss Jack Ross until the end of the season as the out favour Rangers midfielder looks to get game time.

But Record Sport understands Sunderland, Shrewsbury Town and Charlton haven’t given up hope of sealing a transfer window busting deal for his services.

It’s understood that Hibs are the clear favourites to get a move hammered out before the midnight deadline but it could go to the last few minutes.

Docherty's favoured a move down south but the Easter Road side are pushing hard to complete a deal for the former Accies midfielder.

Meanwhile, Florian Kamberi has told Hibs he wants to join Rangers on-loan before tonight's transfer deadline.

Polish side Lech Poznan have already tabled a similar bid with a loan fee and Hibs want Rangers to match that package.

Hibs are considering letting Kamberi go to maximise his value
