Greg Cote's Week 2 NFL picks

Confetti, please. And a brass band. OK maybe Week 1 of our 26th season of picks didn't merit a parade for the decent 10-6 mark overall, but I'll celebrate a shiny 11-5 against the spread anytime, anywhere, anyhow. We narrowly missed our Upset of the Week call outright (Jets over Bengals) but had NYJ with the points. We did foresee outright upsets with Broncos over Panthers and Raiders over Saints, and also had the underdog Patriots, Lions and Jaguars with the points. Oh, and we nailed a rare exact-score bull's-eye on Packers winning 27-23. I don't normally brag this much _ owing not to humility, but to a general lack of opportunity. Feels good, though. So let's keep it going! (Note: Thursday night pick was Jets (even) over Bills 24-20).
