A man was tasered and held on suspicion of attempted murder after two women were slashed in south-east London.

Police were called to a property in Norman Road, Greenwich, just before 3.30pm on Tuesday and found a woman in her 40s with slash wounds. Her condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.

Moments later, officers were called to nearby Thornham Street and found another woman with a slash wound. She was taken to hospital and her injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

And shortly after this attack, police received another report of a man threatening a teenage girl with a knife at Cutty Sark.

A suspect, aged 18, was tasered and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He remained in hospital on Tuesday.

The teenager at Cutty Sark did not suffer any injuries.

The Met said the incidents were not terror-related and that “it is believed the suspect and victims were known to each other”.
