Greenock Morton v Hearts rearranged as Scottish Cup scheduling takes effect

It’s now a midweek trip to Greenock Morton for Hearts after their third meeting of the season was re-arranged.

The Championship clash was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday 17 April at Cappielow.

But that’s now been moved to Tuesday 20 April (kick-off 7.05pm) due to Morton 's Scottish Cup involvement and will be shown live on BBC Scotland.

Gus McPherson’s side travel to Motherwell in the fourth round with the winners set to play Hibs or Stranraer in the quarter-finals.

That gives Robbie Neilson’s men a Saturday off as they look to get the title sewn up.

A Jamie Walker double gave Hearts all three points on their last visit to Greenock at the start of December.

Walker was on target again when they met at Tynecastle, although only after the visitors had taken the lead.

Walker came off the bench to head home the equaliser and net his 50th goal in maroon.

The Jambos have four games left of their league campaign. The host Alloa in Gorgie this Friday night then face a wait to play again following this rescheduling.

Then it’s Inverness at home before they bring the season to a close with a Friday night trip to Raith on the final weekend.
