Green Party leader Eamon Ryan has joined the thousands of eager customers paying a trip to barbers and hairdressers this week as Phase Three of easing lockdown begins.
Barber shops and salons opened their doors to customers once again on Monday months after shutting due to coronavirus restrictions.
And today Green Party leader Eamon Ryan is among those cutting a much needed post lockdown trim.
Taking to social media the Minister for Climate Action shared a photo of himself getting his hair cut donning a face mask in the barber chair.
The politician wrote: "Locks are down. Mask are on. Stay safe."
Meanwhile Tanaiste Leo Varadkar got his hair cut 'at last' on Monday as the barbers finally reopened.
The Fine Gael leader shared an image of his trim as he sat in the barber chair donning a face mask.
Mr Varadkar said: "Lunchbreak haircut. At last! Please support small businesses to help people get back to work. Now at Cabinet to discuss Covid and July jobs stimulus."
There were queues outside several hairdressers and barbers first thing on Monday as people finally got the chance to get their lockdown locks cut.
Groups of people could be seen outside the Grafton Barber in Dublin city late on Sunday night as shop reopened at midnight on Monday.
Meanwhile one Dublin hairdresser took on a massive challenge of opening for 24 hours straight as it faces four weeks of waiting lists following lockdown.
Salon Rouge in Inchicore opened from midnight on June 29 and remained open for 24 hours straight as it returned to business.
The salon made a donation to Women's Aid from each appointment throughout the 24-hour period.
