Green Park station: Man dies after being hit by Jubilee line train in central London

A man has died after being hit by a train at Green Park Tube station today.

Emergency services were called to the central London station just after 12.15pm on Thursday.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A statement from the British Transport Police said:“Officers were called to Green Park London Underground station at 12.16pm today, following a report of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended, however a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Officers are working to identify him.

"This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

There was no service on the Jubilee line between Waterloo and Finchley Road, with severe delays reported on the rest of the line.

Tickets are being accepted on the DLR, London Buses, and Thameslink services
