Holidays abroad in 2021 have been severely restricted so far, but there are still some countries that you can travel to.
The green list allows people in the UK to travel to countries on the list without having to quarantine on their return.
Portugal was on the green list, but will move to the amber list at 4am on Tuesday June 8, causing heartbreak for those hoping to have a break in the holiday hotspot.
Many of the countries on the green list require UK tourists to quarantine when they get there and nothing is likely to ruin your two-week holiday quite like spending the entire fortnight in a hotel room - reports Berkshire Live.
If you’re thinking of visiting Brunei, people are being asked to isolate in a hotel for anything between two and 14 days, depending on the coronavirus situation when you arrive.
But the Faroe Islands recently eased their quarantine restrictions, allowing people from the EU and Shengen region to enter without having to complete a period of isolation.
And Gibraltar, Iceland and Israel also don't ask tourists to isolate when they arrive in the country.
However even though Australia, Singapore and New Zealand are on the green list, they are not currently allowing UK tourists to enter the country.
Countries on the Green List:
- Australia
- Brunei
- Falkland Islands
- Faroe Islands
- Gibraltar
- Iceland
- Israel and Jerusalem
- New Zealand
- Singapore
- South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands
- St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha
