A number of destinations have today added to the Government's travel green list and green watchlist.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has today (Thursday) confirmed Malta will be given green status, meaning people visiting from the UK will no longer be required to quarantine on their return.
His tweet also said Madeira and the Balearic islands, along with some UK overseas territories, and some Carribean islands, would be added to "the green list and green watchlist", with it not yet made clear which would be on which list.

The tweet continued: "Israel and Jerusalem are also added to the greenwatch list.
Countries on the greenwatch list are under additional measures that the government will use as a way to identify those most at risk of moving from green to amber.
Countries on the watchlist will be kept under review and “respond to emerging evidence, with a particular focus on variants of concern”.
Six countries, including Tunisia and Haiti, will be put onto the red list, according to Mr Shapps.
All changes are said to come into effect from Wednesday (June 30) at 4am.
The Government has urged people to avoid non-essential travel to amber and red countries.
However, Mr Shapps has this evening said the government hopes later this summer, UK residents who are fully vaccinated will not have to isolate when travelling from amber list countries
