Green light for Black Country business park

Black Country planning chiefs have given the green light to a new business park.

The self-contained Dreadnought Business Park in Pensnett, Dudley, is being developed jointly by Hinton Perry & Davenhill and Antringham Developments.

It will comprise up to 40,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing and distribution space.

The 2.4-acre site in Dreadnought Road is owned by Hinton Perry & Davenhill and sits adjacent to its Dreadnought Tiles’ manufacturing plant.

Alex Patrick-Smith, managing director of Hinton Perry & Davenhill, said: "We're extremely pleased to have secured planning permission for the business park.

"The redevelopment of the surplus land adjacent to the Dreadnought Tiles factory will deliver much-needed new industrial space in the Black Country and create new employment opportunities for the area."

Tim Blairs, managing director at Antringham Developments, added: "Now that planning has been secured, we’re looking forward to getting on site to deliver this new business park."

Dreadnought Business Park is located within close proximity of Pensnett Trading Estate, one of the largest secure industrial estates in Europe and home to around 200 companies, and also within Dudley’s DY5 Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone.

Property consultancy CBRE have been instructed to market the development.
