Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer coming to Glasgow's Bellahouston Park for The Hella Mega Tour

Scotland's punk rock fans should mark their calendars as a massive tour involving Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer is heading to Glasgow.

The Hella Mega Tour is coming to Bellahouston Park on 24 June, 2020, part of what's already being described as "the pop-punk tour of the decade."

It will be an eagerly-awaited return as Green Day had to cancel a previous show in Glasgow in 2017 due to bad weather.

General tickets are going on sale at 10am on Friday, September 20, and given the gigantic followings each band has they're likely to go quickly.

The Glasgow location means it's a train and subway journey away from Edinburgh.

Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong had teased fans with a cryptic Instagram post before the tour was announced on Tuesday.

He tagged Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz and Rivers Cuomo from Weezer in a post and simply said "hella mega."

It wasn't long before "Hella Mega" social media accounts and even the tour's website domain were uncovered by fans, Rock Sound reports.

We'll be bringing you more details on the gig shortly.
