Green Brigade with new banner that warns Celtic board 'Don’t fall asleep at the wheel'

Celtic’s ultras have unfurled another banner that fires a warning to the club’s hierarchy ahead of the Europa League showdown against AIK.

Just days after the Green Brigade accused the board of downsizing, the fans’ group have hit out at them again, urging them to "not fall asleep at the wheel".

The sign shows Peter Lawwell, Dermot Desmond driving a car, with Neil Lennon in the back seat.

The messages come following Celtic’s Champions League qualifying calamity in the defeat to Cluj and the narrow win over Dunfermline in the Betfred Cup.

A section of the support were less than impressed with Lennon’s appointment in the first place and were further incensed with what they view as a poor summer in the transfer market.

They have implored the board to spend a chunk of the £25million received from the sale of Kieran Tierney to Arsenal.

Only three first-team signings have been made so far, although Fraser Forster is due to be announced imminently.

The Southampton keeper – joining on a season-long loan – was pictured arriving at Celtic Park tonight.

The banner at the weekend read: "This is how it feels to be Celtic. Downsizing again as you know. The Celtic board are gambling 10 in a row."
