Green Brigade mark Celtic '100 days without a manager' with fresh Peter Lawwell protest

The Green Brigade have marked Celtic's 100th day without a manager with a fresh protest aimed at Peter Lawwell.

The Ultras group unveiled a banner outside Celtic Park on Friday.

It's been a week since the club's bid to make Eddie Howe the permanent successor to Neil Lennon collapsed.

A protracted search to replace Irishman has now turned to Yokohama F. Marinos manager Ange Postecoglou but fans' patience has been wearing thin.

The Green Brigade have now taken another pop at the club's outgoing CEO outside the stadium.

Their banner featured Lawwell's face amid the number 100 to hammer home an unwelcome milestone.

The group have been prominent in their criticism of Celtic's hierarchy during and following a disastrous campaign.

In January, they accused the 62-year-old of "gross negligence" as the club's 10 In A Row dream rapidly disintegrated.

By season's end, Celtic had surrendered their grasp on all three of Scotland's major trophies - including losing the Premiership title to Rangers - and crashed out of the Europa League with a whimper.

Former boss Lennon resigned on February 24 and it appeared ex-Bournemouth manager Howe was the man to take the job.

But an agreement could not be struck and negotiations were brought to a shuddering halt.
