Greek street food restaurant MeatMe opens on Lark Lane

A new restaurant has opened its doors in south Liverpool.

Greek street food restaurant MeatMe has opened on Lark Lane today. The restaurant is a modern take on the traditional street food and serves up unique, freshly-made dishes to order.

MeatMe serves a range of Greek street food, including Gyros wraps, Souvlaki portions, loaded fries, vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as dips. The menu has been carefully crafted by the restaurant’s directors - one of whom also serves as head chef.

Inside the venue is a recreation of a traditional Greek restaurant with an added modern twist that brings it into 2022. In keeping with its theme, the restaurant has kept characteristics from the old times, is vibrant and flowery with good vibes and music.

According to its directors, MeatMe’s name has been in the works for a number of years after wanting something “smart and catchy”. A spokesperson for MeatMe said: “I took the decision on the name a couple years ago. I wanted something smart and catchy and I came back with this one.

“I chose Lark Lane because [of] the interior, food and [the] way of service we do, it was the right place, right fit.”

You can find MeatMe at 20 Lark Lane, Liverpool, L17 8US. The restaurant is open from 2pm - 10pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
