Come on Greece make some noise! Which is something that England's band weren't allowed to do in the Donbass Arena on Monday as their instruments were confiscatedPhotograph: Aris Messinis/AFP/Getty ImagesMaybe the fact that the Greek fans are drumming and parping in support of their team will help England's band with their appealPhotograph: Dominic Ebenbichler/ReutersNo prizes for guessing the favourite player of these Czech fansPhotograph: Christof Koepsel/Getty Images

Surprisingly they don't add to their scoreline and go in at half-time two goals to the goodPhotograph: Aris Messinis/AFP/Getty ImagesJust seven minutes into the second half and Greece are handed a lifeline (and for once it's not a financial one) by Petr Cech. The Czech keeper came charging out to collect an aimless through ball but got in a muddle with his defender Tomas Sivok and the ball fell to Gekas. The Greek substitute had the easy task of rolling it into an empty net from 12 yards. It's a goal the Greeks don't deserve and, try as they might, the 2004 champions can't find an equaliser.
