Greater Manchester weekend weather forecast after sunny Friday

After a sunny Friday, Greater Manchester is expected to have a cloudier weekend, with the occasional spot of rain.

The weekend will get off to a cloudy start on Saturday morning, with some drizzle expected over North Lancashire.

But further south, the weather is expected to be drier, with a maximum temperature of 16 °C.

Sunday looks largely 'fine' according to The Met Office, but this weather gives way to an unsettled and windier week ahead.

The Met Office has said: "Rather cloudy through Saturday morning, with perhaps the odd spot of rain and drizzle over Cumbria and North Lancashire. Dry for most further south with a few bright spells. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

"Largely fine Sunday, though more chance of cloud and spells of rain in the north and west. Turning unsettled and breezier into week and remaining mild by day and night."

By Monday, the skies are expected to turn breezier and it should remain cloudy for most residents, with the chance of scattered showers in the afternoon.

Tuesday looks to bring cloud and unsettled weather with outbreaks of rain. Rain will fall locally heavy with some breezy periods.
